Job Description

Operational Excellence
Collaborates with the Engineer to thoroughly review assigned task cards, ensuring a clear understanding of work requirements, priorities, documentation needs, and precautions before initiating tasks.
Conducts scheduled maintenance as per assigned task cards, ensuring all necessary documentation, parts, tools, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are acquired and utilized according to the provided instructions.
Executes tasks to the required standards, accurately identifying and documenting any defects or damages in line with approved maintenance procedures.
Performs structure and composite repairs as directed by task cards, adhering strictly to approved data and procedures under the supervision of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Ensures that appropriate tools and equipment are sourced from stores for tasks, returning all items in good condition upon completion.
Regularly updates the Engineer-in-Charge on the status of assigned tasks and promptly reports any issues concerning aircraft condition or work execution.
Maintains high housekeeping standards throughout all tasks performed.
Safety
Takes charge of safety for assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring that all mandatory precautions are followed prior to and during work execution.
Implements measures to safeguard oneself and others in the vicinity of maintenance activities from potential hazards, including the correct use of GSE and personal protective equipment.
Considers human factors in maintenance, ensuring adherence to work interruption protocols and adequate access and lighting during maintenance and inspections.
Reputation and Teamwork
Internal Customer Service: Offers valuable information and assistance to the team and other departments involved in managing scheduled maintenance checks.
Representing Air Arabia: Upholds a professional image of technical competence to colleagues from other companies and Air Arabia customers.
Cost Awareness
Maintains awareness of the costs associated with aircraft maintenance, including time and materials. Strives to minimize waste of consumables and repair costs by preventing unnecessary damage and avoiding repetitive tasks during maintenance.
Qualifications
Qualified and experienced Structure & Composite Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective technical communication.
Competent in using computers, particularly Microsoft Office.
Eligible to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
Work Experience
External Applicants:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sheet metal maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus models.
At least 2 years’ experience in a Base Maintenance/MRO Workshop environment.
Demonstrates a solid foundational understanding of Structure & Composite Maintenance theory and practice.
