Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

Lead a team in managing the handling and processing of cargo, courier, and mail, ensuring all activities align with safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Provide regular safety briefings to the team to promote a safe working environment.
Conduct inspections and verify goods at each stage of delivery, acceptance, breakdown, and build-up to ensure compliance with standards. Update shipment details in Skychain for accurate tracking.
Coordinate with government agencies, such as customs and health authorities, to facilitate timely movement of cargo, courier, and mail.
Ensure that all shipments containing dangerous goods comply with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and that time-sensitive or pharmaceutical shipments meet EU GDP requirements.
Oversee the acceptance, delivery, build-up, breakdown, and monitoring of ULD/AWB JNG and QRT on airside within the required connection time window.
Plan the loading of cargo into ULDs or bulk on aircraft, optimizing capacity use based on priority, volume, and payload.
Approve any adjustments to cargo uplift requirements to minimize the impact of deviations on service and revenue.
Inspect ULDs and related cargo equipment, report any issues for maintenance to uphold safety standards, extend equipment life, and lower replacement costs.
Monitor the loading/unloading of cargo from flights, addressing any irregularities or deviations from procedures as needed.
Track cargo delivery times from the ramp to the warehouse and ensure timely processing, documenting any deviations to maintain service quality.

Qualifications & Experience:

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

Completion of 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in Air Cargo, Cargo, or Logistics.
Understanding of aircraft handling, ramp handling, and cargo terminal handling procedures.
Strong knowledge and experience in Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Competency in computer applications; familiarity with SkyChain is an advantage.
Ability to complete basic cargo and dangerous goods training (Category 8).
