Job Opportunity: Structure & Composite Aircraft Maintenance Technician – Air Arabia
Join Air Arabia’s technical team as a Structure & Composite Aircraft Maintenance Technician and contribute to the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of Air Arabia and Third Party aircraft. This role involves assisting engineers with maintenance tasks, inspections, repairs, and component replacements in line with Air Arabia and regulatory standards.
Job Purpose
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
Support the Engineer in performing Line & Base Maintenance Checks.
Ensure high standards in inspections, repairs, and records management.
Promote safety and teamwork while minimizing maintenance costs and wastage.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
Task Card Review: Understand assigned tasks and requirements by reviewing task cards with the Engineer.
Scheduled Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks as per task cards, using the right tools, parts, and documentation.
Defect Identification: Conduct tasks to identify and record defects/damage per maintenance standards.
Structure & Composite Repairs: Follow approved procedures to execute repairs as directed.
Tool & Equipment Handling: Use and return tools/equipment in good condition.
Progress Reporting: Keep the Engineer-in-Charge updated on task progress and issues.
Housekeeping: Maintain high housekeeping standards in all assigned tasks.
Safety
Task Safety: Follow all mandatory safety precautions before and during tasks.
Area Protection: Take steps to protect self and others from potential injury.
Human Factors Awareness: Ensure proper procedures are followed, including adequate lighting and access during tasks.
Reputation and Teamwork
Internal Support: Offer helpful information to team members and other departments.
Representation: Present a professional, competent image to colleagues and customers.
Cost Awareness
Cost Efficiency: Be mindful of maintenance costs, minimizing waste and avoiding unnecessary repeat work.
Qualifications
Education: Qualified and experienced in Structure & Composite Aircraft Maintenance.
English Proficiency: Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for technical purposes.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Driver’s License: Ability to obtain a UAE Driver’s License.
Work Experience Requirements
External Applicants:Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet & metal maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus.
Minimum of 2 years in a Base Maintenance or MRO Workshop environment.
Solid understanding of Structure & Composite Maintenance theory and practice.
