Job Title: Assistant Kitchen Manager
What You’ll Do
Maintaining Kitchen Inventory:
Oversee and manage the inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Conduct weekly inventory checks and ensure adequate stock levels.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Supervise Food Prep and Cooking:
Supervise kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency and quality.
Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards and served in a timely manner.
Monitor the consistency and quality of dishes before they reach customers.
Ensure Compliance with Food Safety Regulations:
Ensure all kitchen activities comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Conduct regular checks to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
Stay up-to-date with the latest food safety guidelines and regulations.
Maintaining Health and Safety Standards:
Enforce health and safety protocols within the kitchen.
Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and used safely by all staff.
Conduct regular safety drills and provide ongoing safety training for kitchen staff.
Scheduling Shifts:
Manage the scheduling of kitchen staff shifts to meet business needs, including special events and peak times.
Adjust schedules as needed to ensure adequate staffing during high-demand periods.
Maintaining Clean Working Environments:
Ensure kitchen and food prep areas remain clean, organized, and fully compliant with hygiene standards.
Enforce preventive maintenance measures among staff to maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness.
Regularly inspect the kitchen and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Evaluating and Disciplining Kitchen Personnel:
Monitor and evaluate the performance of kitchen staff to ensure high standards of work.
Provide constructive feedback and guidance to improve staff performance.
Implement disciplinary actions, when necessary, according to company policies.
What We Are Looking For
At least 3 to 4 years of experience in managing a reputable kitchen or restaurant.
Excellent knowledge of all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) practices.
Strong data acumen for managing inventory, scheduling, and staffing.
Energetic, with a problem-solving mindset and leadership skills.
A valid Health Certificate is mandatory.
Additional Requirements:Immediate availability to start or within 15 days.
Willingness to work in Qatar.
