Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for carrying out and overseeing base-level maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft within the CAR 66 ‘B1’ License Category. Ensures all work is completed, certified, and recorded accurately and promptly in line with Air Arabia and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence

Reviews task cards with the Maintenance Manager to clarify the work scope, priorities, documentation, and cautions before beginning tasks.
Prepares and executes scheduled maintenance according to task cards, ensuring necessary documentation, parts, tools, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) are available and properly used.
Conducts aircraft tests and inspections to identify and document any defects or damage as per maintenance procedures.
Troubleshoots and resolves defects following Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering Department guidelines.
Certifies maintenance tasks within the scope of authorization, ensuring all documentation meets required standards.
Coordinates with Engineers and Technicians to ensure proper task continuity and effective handover of work.
Safety

Ensures safety by following all published mandatory precautions and using protective equipment.
Proactively protects self and others from injury by using proper GSE and following safety protocols.
Manages human factors in maintenance by avoiding interruptions and maintaining task continuity through appropriate handover procedures.
Reputation and Teamwork

Provides support and professional advice to operational teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Supervises and guides Technicians on non-certifying tasks, ensuring adequate briefing.
Represents Air Arabia positively to flight crews, third-party personnel, and customers, maintaining a professional image.
Cost Awareness

Remains cost-conscious, minimizing waste of consumables and avoiding unnecessary repairs by working efficiently and preventing repeat work.
Qualifications
Holds or has held an EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License with maintenance approvals on the Airbus A320.
Note: Must commit to remove any license limitations within 9 months of induction.
Ability to obtain an unrestricted GCAA CAR 66 B1 Category License.
Strong knowledge of airframe and engine systems maintenance.
Proficiency in English for technical communication.
Competent with Microsoft Office.
Eligible for a UAE driving license.
Work Experience
External Applicants:
Minimum 2 years of experience in certifying maintenance on the Airbus A320 family.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
