Job Title: Team Leader Automotive
Job Summary:
The Senior Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of technicians to ensure high productivity, quality, and adherence to company standards in the automotive aftersales department. Reporting to the Workshop or Service Manager, this role involves job allocation, quality monitoring, technician training, warranty processing, and proactive issue resolution to support smooth workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and supervise technicians’ jobs and activities, managing job allocations and prioritizing tasks as needed.
Continuously oversee technician performance, ensuring efficient, high-quality work while monitoring adherence to 5S principles.
Familiarize technicians with company policies, individual roles, and responsibilities.
Ensure all warranty and Port Modification cases are observed and reported to the Technical Department.
Track allowed time versus actual time taken for each job, reporting modifications to vehicle components with appropriate documentation.
Maintain daily coordination with Job Control to ensure on-time delivery and communicate urgent cases promptly.
Countercheck technician reports and mechanical estimates for accuracy.
Enforce adherence to Service Department procedures and select technicians for training programs, periodically reviewing skills and training needs.
Analyze repeat job reasons and work to prevent recurrences, assisting with complex repairs and diagnostics when necessary.
Coordinate with TSA on warranty and F1 issues, reporting to the Workshop Manager as required.
Supervise technicians to ensure timely job completion and address any delays with Job Control.
Conduct periodic inventory checks to ensure proper maintenance and safekeeping of tools, handling any discrepancies.
Define performance goals annually with the Line Manager, working toward achieving them throughout the year.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Workshop or Service Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in aftersales within the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a luxury or high-performance brand environment.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in aftersales operations; experience with CDK Autoline is advantageous.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or a related field.
Other Requirements: Strong leadership and team management skills, a valid UAE driver’s license.
