Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the department, ensuring that mechanical equipment and machinery repairs are carried out efficiently and safely. This role involves coordination with various teams, developing detailed completion programs, and actively working towards continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, interpret, and follow method statements and procedures while understanding project specifications, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
Coordinate work progress with SRM, superintendents, other trades, and the department team.
Collaborate with invoicers and estimators to ensure department and commercial targets are aligned and achieved.
Create detailed completion programs with appropriate manpower loading.
Identify and implement improvements related to work processes and safety measures.
Participate in accident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and assist in preparing incident reports.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mechanical Department to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
Contribute to efforts aimed at improving safety, productivity, and quality within the department.

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of overhaul and calibration procedures for mechanical equipment and machinery.
Experience: Experience in ship repair and new building yards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Project Management tools.
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
