Job Description: Accountant
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management:
Assist with accounts payable activities, including accruals and month-end reconciliations, to ensure timely invoice payments as per agreed terms.
Track supplier accounts, invoices, and purchase orders, ensuring authorized approval for accurate and prompt supplier payments.
Process payment vouchers, petty cash, and manage contingent, contracting, and employment liabilities.
Documentation and Compliance:
Document all transactions and expenditures according to GAAP, IFRS, and IAS standards, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards.
Maintain historical records for all expenditures and payments, ensuring accurate and accessible financial documentation.
Expense Verification and Payroll Preparation:
Verify expense reports and prepare paychecks for management approval.
Ensure all local and international vendors receive timely payments and cost bookings are accurately recorded.
Account Reconciliation:
Reconcile accounts at the general ledger level, including employee advances and loan accounts.
Pension Contributions:
Handle personal and company pension contributions for UAE national employees.
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Skills:Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards, and experience in accounts payable and financial reconciliation.
