Job Title: Commi
What You’ll Do
Support Central Kitchen Manager: Assist the Central Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen operations and adhere to menu specifications.
Maintain Hygiene Standards: Ensure your work area is kept hygienic according to the restaurant’s health and safety standards.
Food Stock & Cost Control: Monitor and manage food stock in your section, maintaining control over food costs.
Daily Mis-en-Place & Food Prep: Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production for various sections of the main kitchen as required.
Follow Instructions: Follow the instructions and recommendations from your immediate supervisors to complete your daily tasks efficiently.
Ensure Quality Standards: Consistently ensure the highest quality and standards in food preparation. Stay updated with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
Coordination & Participation: Collaborate with other kitchen sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage control, and cost management.
Legislation Compliance: Operate within relevant legislation, maintaining up-to-date records related to health & safety, hygiene, HACCP, and any other applicable laws or guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum high school education.
At least 1 year of experience as a Commis Chef.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including HACCP and environmental health standards.
A positive, dynamic, and creative team player with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Strong customer focus and commitment to providing excellent service.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
